Birchbox – December Products!

Happy New year you wonderful people!

It’s been one hell of a year 2019, and 2020 is about to get 10x better!

This year is going to be full of positivity and travelling! Also, More blogging! Going to really try and get a hold of posting at least 2 blog posts a week whilst working a little harder on my content, I am also going self hosted with WordPress now I can finally afford it!

Lots of Sri Lanka, Cambridge and London posts to come, as well as 4 new Travel Rolls to my YouTube channel! Lots and lots in store!

So lets see what we got in this December BirchBAG I should say!

For starters it wasn’t a box, it was a gorgeous make up bag! Velvet with a gold star on the front, I have already moved all of my make up into the bag! I definitely needed a new one so I am so happy with this one, saved me buying one!

We also got a free bag of Candy Kittens! SO tasty!

1.Forgive Me Sizzle Eyeshadow Palette

This Birchbox I was going to receive 1 of 2 different eyeshadow palettes! The colours were perfect for the festive season and such a nice variety considering it was only 5 colours, they are really well pigmented when on as well! – RRP £9.00

2. Birchbox Eyeshadow Brush

We received a small eyeshadow brush with the palette, super helpful although I have so many brushes I may drown in them. – RRP £4.00

3. Daily Concepts Mother of Pearl Soap Sponge

MAN THIS SOAP SMELLS SO GOOD. I am yet to use this yet as I have a few lovely products to try in the shower but this sponge is to exfoliate and refresh your skin, it can be used up to 60 times before you need to get a new one! – RRP £6.PP

4. Percy & Reed Session Hold Spray

We love a good hairspray! Although I don’t often use hairspray as I have way too much hair and would use this entire canister on one hairdo. On the slick back hair do’s it works wonderfully! -RRP £12.50

5. Rituals Shower Oil

Another product that makes my skin feel amazingly smooth and replenished! “To Turn Every Day Routines into More Meaningful Rituals!” – RRP £8.50.

6. Vitamasques Diamond Eye Pads

A blend of Diamond Powder and Caffeine to depuff your eyes! Another eye mask for the ages, although again I can’t use this product on my face, so I am sure it works wonderfully, I just won’t find out (sad face) – RRP £4.50.

So this is the contents of my December Birchbag! By far some of the best products I have had delivered so far! Can’t wait to see what January holds!

Till next time!

Book Review: The 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo – T. J. Reid

“The epic adventures Evelyn creates over the course of a lifetime will leave every reader mesmerised. This wildly addictive journey of a reclusive Hollywood starlet and her tumultuous Tinseltown journey comes with unexpected twists and the most satisfying of drama.” —PopSugar

This book deserves the 4.3/5 on Goodreads.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, it had me completely immersed from start to finish.

The book starts with Monique’s life and how Evelyn musters her way in asking Monique to write her biography. For Monique this is a huge break especially with her career and you’re dying for her to take it so hard that when she does its a relief. That was when I started to get really stuck in.

The book is split up into 7 parts, 7 parts for 7 husbands!

I couldn’t pick a favourite husband as they all had me hooked, each different story and behind each marriage there was always an underlying motive which was expected from a character such as Evelyn but STILL shocked every time. That woman did BITS to get to where she was and it WORKED. She might not have been happy but she got the success she had always wanted from scraping from the bottom of the barrel.

But when you discover her true love it really opens up a new door into the LGBT + Community and her show business career. How in the days when this book was written, she simply couldn’t even be herself.

Celia St James even had my heart. From start to finish there was nothing I wanted more than that happily ever after. Their relationship made me hurt, yearn for it to work and scream the heavens down whenever something wasn’t right.

Evelyn has nothing but my sympathy in this situation. I love them together. I want them to live his acceptable happily ever after and not be headlined under this massive scandal like they will be.

Her whole life had me feeling every single emotion possible, I was living through Monique who was living through Evelyn as Evelyn. It is SO incredibly written that when Monique’s life is discussed every now and then you are like, why is this significant?

And then it happens.

I’ll stop shouting now, it just really got me when I was reading. I had to put the book down for a hot 3 minutes to recover.

And then, the ending had me feeling wholesome and sad. Everything I’d wanted had come true, but not in the same way I wanted it too. But, nonetheless, it left me feeling somewhat whole and settled.

T.J. Reid has written what I would call a beautiful masterpiece that demonstrates that if you want something hard enough you’ll go out and get it no matter what the costs. It is emotional, gripping, moving and so utterly immersive.
